Applications must be submitted on the Scholarship Application Form. Applications are available online or at the Town Office.
Review Process
Applications will be reviewed by a committee comprised of five voting members who will make recommendations to the Holyrood Town Council for approval.
Evaluation Criteria
Academic achievement and level of community involvement.
Deadlines for Applications
Only fully completed applications postmarked or delivered to the Town of Holyrood on or before the deadline date noted will be accepted. This includes a certified copy of your marks from the Department of Education and proof of acceptance from a post-secondary institution. Also, letters of reference from community organizations or groups, in which you are involved, would be of benefit.
Eligibility
- Completion of Level III
- Resident of Holyrood
- Enrolled in a post-secondary institution
- Personal community involvement
Return completed application to the town office marked – Municipal Scholarship- by the deadline date of October 4 at 4:00 pm.

Town of Holyrood Municipal Scholarships are intended to be given to individuals to financially assist further development of their education at a post secondary institution of their choice.
Two successful applicants will receive a scholarship of $500 each. Please ensure the application is completed in full and received at the Town Office by the scholarship deadline. Letters of reference from community organizations supporting your involvement may be attached also.
