Over the years, she has volunteered on school councils, serving as Chair of both Holy Cross and Roncalli High schools. Her ability to connect with people helped build the Holy Cross School Breakfast Program
to one of the best on the island, serving almost the entire school population every morning with the help of over 60 volunteers she had recruited. Michele’s belief in volunteering and giving back to your community led her to the Royal Canadian Legion where her work on the Ladies Auxiliary bought her to Chair the Entertainment Committee and eventually President of the Auxiliary. She also volunteered with the Holy Cross Church children’s liturgy program, the Roncalli Christmas Raffles, Graduation Committees, and Chair of the Roncalli 50 th Anniversary committee. Michele has also served many years on the Executive of the Personal Care Home Owners Association and was also a member on various Liaison Committees within the Department of Health.
Michele believes that the strength of community lies in the strength of the connections we have with each other. Her goal is to help build a stronger relationship between Council and residents through open and transparent dialogue and community engagement.
