The Town of Holyrood made important progress today as we continue working through the ongoing water system challenges.
🔧 PUMP BACK ONLINE
The pump located on Liam Hickey Drive has been successfully brought back online and is currently producing water at a favourable rate.
📈 TANK LEVELS IMPROVING
We are pleased to report that the level of water in the Town’s storage tank continues to increase.
This evening, we attempted a short rotation of water service across the Town. Unfortunately, we encountered a problem affecting residents on the Southside to the Conception Bay South boundary, and the rotation feed had to be discontinued.
We are aware that not all residents received water during this rotation. Our team continues to investigate the system to identify the problem area and determine the best course of action.
🛠️ TOMORROW’S WORK
Several technical specialists will be on site tomorrow to assess the performance of the water storage tank and assist with our ongoing investigation.
At this time, we are hopeful that water service can be provided throughout the Town beginning at approximately 5:30 a.m. tomorrow morning. However, residents should be prepared for possible interruptions throughout the day as our crews and technical personnel continue working on the system.
We understand that the continued disruption is difficult and frustrating. Please know that Town staff, Council, contractors and technical personnel are working continuously to restore a reliable water supply.
