Town of Holyrood Announces “SquidFest Beach Party Goes Country” Featuring Steven Lee Olsen and Justin Fancy

The Town of Holyrood is excited to unveil one of the headline events of SquidFest 2026: SquidFest Beach Party Goes Country, set to take place on Saturday, August 29, 2026. This high-energy, outdoor concert will bring country music fans together on the shores of Conception Bay for an unforgettable night of live entertainment.

Headlining the event is award-winning Canadian country artist Steven Lee Olsen, one of Nashville’s most respected singer-songwriters. Known for his chart-topping hits and songwriting credits with some of the biggest names in country music, Olsen has co-written songs for artists such as Keith Urban and Florida Georgia Line. His own singles, including “Raised by a Good Time” and “Never Done It Like This,” have earned national acclaim, showcasing his signature blend of modern country sound and authentic storytelling.

Joining Olsen is Newfoundland and Labrador’s own Justin Fancy, a rising star in the Canadian country scene. Fancy has built a loyal following with his heartfelt lyrics and East Coast charm. His breakout success, including the fan-favourite “Long Shot,” has made him one of the province’s most exciting homegrown talents, bringing a strong local connection to the SquidFest stage.

The night will continue on the main stage with a high-energy performance from Cripple Creek, delivering a full night of crowd-favourite country covers to keep the party going.

SquidFest Beach Party Goes Country is shaping up to be one of the biggest nights of the summer. We’re proud to bring both nationally recognized talent and incredible local artists together for an event that celebrates music, community, and the spirit of Holyrood.
