The Town of Holyrood advises residents that water will be shut off tonight, Thursday, August 27, from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Friday, August 28, to facilitate necessary water system maintenance.
Affected Area:
π All residents connected to Town water
π° Once water service is restored, residents are advised to run their cold water until clear.
Tonight, the Town of Holyrood will continue its work to find and repair leaks in the distribution lines around Town Centre. In order to complete this work, RPM Aerial β the company engaged by the Town to assist with leak detection β requires pressure on the lines. Following daytime water usage, we need to shut down the water and allow the water level in the tank to rise so that the necessary testing can be conducted.
We understand that this is both frustrating and disappointing, however, this work needs to be completed, and it is far better to conduct it during overnight hours when there is the least interruption to residentsβ daily activities.
Staff are on the ground tonight. You may see them locating curb stops at your property in order to help isolate problem areas. Please be understanding and, most importantly, please be kind. These people are your neighbours, relatives and friends. They are doing their jobs and, in doing so, are working to positively affect the reliability of the water system and the lives of residents throughout the Town.
We appreciate everyoneβs continued patience and cooperation as we work through this process.
