The Town of Holyrood, as per the Wood Cutting Policy, are offering up a parcel of land to its residents to remove the firewood. The land is located on the right side of the corridor heading up to the water tank on Tank Road.
Interested individuals must have their name, phone number, and e-mail address submitted to info@holyrood.ca no later than 3:00pm May 1st, 2024.
To ensure fairness and transparency, a computer-generated program will be used to randomly select a name from those names submitted. The successful person will be offered the opportunity.
Should the successful candidate NOT accept – a second draw will be actioned using the same process.
Only one submission per household will be accepted.
The selected individual must obtain a Domestic Woodcutting Operating Permit from the provincial government before the Town will issue the wood cutting permit. The fee for the Town permit is $50.00.
The Director of Infrastructure and Public Works will meet with the selected individual on site to discuss the trees to be harvested and the details of the Wood Cutting Policy.
The wood must be harvested by June 30th, 2024.
