The Town of Holyrood wishes to inform residents that the municipal water system is currently experiencing lower-than-normal water levels due to a recent mechanical issue at one of the Town’s pumphouses. The pump failure temporarily reduced the town’s ability to maintain normal water levels and overall water supply.
A replacement pump has been installed and brought online. While this is an important step in resolving the issue, water levels are not expected to return to normal immediately as the system needs time to recover.
In addition to this mechanical issue, the region is currently experiencing a period of dry, warm weather, with below-average rainfall. These dry conditions are impacting the water supply and replenishment.
We are requesting that all residents conserve water where possible and to be mindful of non-essential usage.
This includes limiting lawn watering, car washing, and other outdoor water activities. Small efforts made by each household can collectively make a big difference during this period.
The Town appreciates your support and understanding as we manage this situation and work to ensure the continued delivery of safe and reliable water to all residents.
