Public Advisory: Revised Evacuation Order for a Section of the Town of Holyrood

The evacuation orders, issued on August 4 and 5, 2025, have been revised.

Residents living in the Holyrood area from 377 Conception Bay Highway (Irving Gas Bar), northward to 103 Conception Bay South Highway, by Murray’s Peak Hiking Trail, can return to their properties.

Access will be available to these residents by going NORTH on Route 60, or Conception Bay South Highway.

The evacuation order issued for the northern section of the Town of Holyrood remains in effect. This includes Route 60 from the Holyrood/CBS Boundary to 102 Conception Bay Highway, Holyrood, including Duff’s Road, Keatings Road, Green Acres Subdivision, and Thermal Plant Road. Water bombers, helicopters and ground crews are still working on fire suppression in this area.

Residents returning are advised that this is still an active fire and there are fire crews on scene working hot spot areas. Expect to see some smoke and action by helicopters and waterbombers. Residents who are returning to their properties are asked to proceed with caution and to seek guidance from town officials and first responders, if needed.
