Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro (Hydro) would like to advise the public that on Wednesday, September 24, work will continue to reinforce the electrode lines along the shoreline of Indian Pond, Conception Bay near the Holyrood Thermal Generating Station. This is the final phase of this project that first started in January.
Work will take place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. until Tuesday, September 30. During this time, access to the section of the T’Railway along Indian Pond will be closed.
Hydro advises users of this section of the T’Railway to please be aware of increased activity in the area. Remember to heed traffic and construction signs and use caution during this period.
Construction Work Restricting Access to ATV and Walking Trails on Hydro Property at Holyrood Thermal Generation Station Site
Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro would like to advise the public that beginning the week of September 22nd, site clearing and other civil works in connection with the Avalon Combustion Turbine Project will be taking place on Hydro property at the Holyrood Thermal Generation Station site. The map below indicates the approximate work area which will be an active construction zone until further notice. To ensure the safety and protection of the public, as well as workers onsite, ATV and walking trails within the outlined work area will no longer be accessible. There will be no impact to T’Railway access.
Please be aware of increased activity in the area as materials and equipment are brought on and off the site. Remember to heed traffic and construction signs and use caution.
