All residents of the Town of Holyrood are asked to immediately reduce water usage. On a normal day, usage is around 2–3 feet, but it has recently doubled to 6 feet within 24 hours. There are no water leaks at this time, and this significant increase has put a strain on our system while hot spots in the town continue to require monitoring.
Residents are asked to:
– Turn off sprinklers
– No filling pools
– No washing vehicles
– Avoid running water unnecessarily
– Reduce water use to essential needs only at this time.
We need your help to keep you and your neighbours safe. Anyone requiring bottled water can pick up at the Hubert A. Keough Municipal Building, 34 Salmonier Line, until 10:00p.m. tonight.
