🔸The fire in Holyrood is classified as “Under Control” by the Department of Forestry.
🔸There is minimal fire behaviour observed with the fire fully contained with hose lines. We continue to see hotspots occur occasionally, and the fire department is responding effectively.
🔸The Holyrood fire remains at 22 hectares with no growth reported. Ground crews from the Holyrood Fire Department and other mutual aid fire departments continue to support Forestry crews with water supply for suppression efforts.
🔸We all need to pay special attention to ensure our own safety and the safety of those around us.
🔸People should not be using power saws. Check your properties to ensure you do not have any combustibles or fire hazards. Please dispose of any smoking materials in a safe manner.
🔸Due to current demands on our water supply, we are asking all residents to refrain from using sprinkler systems or washing their vehicles.
🔸Coping during a crisis: Mental health support for wildfire-affected communities: If you’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or unsure — you’re not alone.
Stress and emotional reactions are normal during disasters like wildfires. You may feel numb, restless, tearful or just “not yourself.” Children can also have trouble with uncertainty. These are all valid responses to a traumatic event.

🔸Residents are advised that a province-wide fire ban is in effect until at least September 7th, 2025.
