🔸The wildfire within the Town of Holyrood is currently held from spreading further due to the hard work of first responders who will continue vigilance overnight.
🔸The State of Emergency, Evacuation Order (from 377 Conception Bay Highway to the Conception Bay South boundary) and Road Closures remain in effect. Everyone is asked to respect these safety measures.
🔸All residents who have evacuated due to the wildfire are asked to please register with the Canadian Red Cross, in person, at the Robert French Memorial Stadium, 70 Legion Road, Conception Bay South or by calling 709-729–0921.
🔸NO RETURN to area until safe to do so has been declared by the Town of Holyrood.
🔸Residents are advised that a province-wide fire ban is in effect until at least September 7th, 2025.
🔸The Town of Holyrood implemented a Domestic Water Conservation Plan on July 25, 2025. To review this plan, please visit https://holyrood.ca/domestic-water-conservation-plan-july-25-2025/
🔸We have been made aware that some homeowners have turned on sprinkler systems before they evacuated and this is hindering operations of fire suppression. The Town is therefore turning these sprinkler systems off to ensure safety of all residents.
🔸We are asking ALL residents to ensure sprinkler systems are turned off, and that you abide by the water conservation plan.
Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time.
