CARNIVAL PARK At Holy Cross Park
Starting February 17, take the time to visit Holy Cross Park to check out the Carnival lights. Enjoy a cup of hot chocolate and view our new 2023 ice sculpture. The park will be open between 6 and 8pm each night until Sunday, February 26.

Carnival Button Competition
We’re partnering with Holy Cross Elementary for another Crystal Carnival Button Contest. Students and staff will have the opportunity to win prizes with their button number during the Winter Carnival. The winner will be invited to light the torch and officially kick-off the Crystal Carnival celebrations.
Build-A-Chilly
Open Now! It’s time to paint the Town with Chilly. We want to see our mascot Chilly on your property. Here’s how to enter: Construct your very own Chilly and send a picture of your creation to info@holyrood.ca. One Chilly can be entered per household. Winner will receive a $100 cash prize.
Holyrood Photo Scavenger Hunt
Over the course of the Crystal Carnival, we encourage you to get out and see the Holyrood sites. Form your team of 2 (minimum) to 6 (maximum) people and complete the scavenger hunt list to win a Rec Room Family Prize-Pack valued at $200.

Skating at Boland’s Pond
If conditions allow, the Holyrood Fire Department will be maintaining the ice at Boland’s Pond this Carnival. Feel free to enjoy a family skate daily between 8:00am and 9:00pm. Benches on site.
Is Boland’s Pond Open? No. We will provide updates through the Town of Holyrood and Holyrood Fire Department’s Facebook Page when conditions allow the pond to be open for skating.

Crystal Cup Dart Tournament
Location: Star of the Sea
Time: Registration: 9:00am Tournament: 10:00am
Cost: $10.00 per player
Join the Star of the Sea for the Carnival Mixed Dart Tournament. Teams will consist of 5 players with either 2 men and 3 women or 3 men and 2 women. This tournament is open to the public. For more information and to register please contact Roz at 691-7201.

Route: Centennial Softball Field to Main
Beach Pond (Total length: 3km)
Time: 9:30am
Cost: Free
Snacks and campfire to follow. In the event we have no snow, Roger will lead a group hike on the same route. No registration required.
Carnival Cold Plates
Take-Out Only. Orders must be placed by Wednesday, February 22
Location: Station Diner
Cost: $15.00+ HST

The Carnival cold plate consists of baked ham, roast turkey, roast beef, potato salad, broccoli salad, pasta salad, beet salad, coleslaw, dressing, dinner roll, cranberry sauce and butter.
Family Board Game Day
Location: Holyrood Public Library
Time: 12:00pm-2:00pm
Cost: Free
Join the Holyrood Public Library for an afternoon filled with board games! Open to all ages! No registration required.
Gone to the Dogs – MOVED TO SUNDAY, MARCH 5 at 1:00pm
Location: Holyrood Dog Park (Salmonier Line)
Time: 1:00pm – 2:00pm

Bring your furry friend for a play-day in the dog park. Free hot chocolate and treats for your dog.

We’re under the lights at Holy Cross Park for the Carnival Classic! Come check out this year’s Crystal Carnival Ice Sculpture and take in the live music, hot chocolate, face painting, games, fire pits and a marshmallow/wiener roast.

The Crystal Dip- MOVED TO SUNDAY, MARCH 5
In aid of the Holyrood Food Bank and Little Free Pantries
POLAR BEAR DIP INFORMATION
Can you handle the freezing Atlantic Ocean in the midst of winter? If you have the courage, find your wackiest costume and take the plunge into the cold Holyrood Harbour to support food security in our town. Join us at the Star of the Sea immediately after the dip for brunch as we release the total funds raised. All dippers will receive a free breakfast!

Fundraiser Registration: All those fundraising must submit their registration forms before they start fundraising.
