 We’re Hiring a “Replacement” Clerk-Typist Data Entry Clerk

 This could be just the opportunity you were waiting for to gain seniority and to “get your foot in the door”. We are looking for someone to work as a “replacement” for our current Clerk-Typist Data Entry Clerk.

This is a six month unionized replacement position that reports to the Director of Financial Operations.  The main priority is to provide general clerical support, to prepare documents, copy materials, carry out word processing, correspond with outside agencies and consultants, assist other staff, organize files, carry out routine office work, assist with organizing the general office area, assist staff order materials, greet the public, be familiar with staff and town operations, to answer telephone calls and reply to emails, to welcome guests, direct inquiries, and to be the first point of contact in the front office.

The Clerk Typist-Data Entry Clerk must have completed a program of studies in word processing, secretarial studies, or office administration etc., and must have knowledge and/or experience in cash handling, receiving payments, and issuing receipts.

This a unionized position and the current rate of pay approved for this position in 2022 is $22.65/hour (based on a 35 hour work week).  A copy of a detailed job description is available upon request to JW Consulting Associates (see email address below).
