Conmigos Zumba® in Holyrood

If you like having fun and are looking for a way to be active, come out to Zumba®, a Latin inspired, fun and energetic dance party. The Zumba® moves combine all elements of fitness – cardio, muscle conditioning, balance, flexibility and boosted energy.

Licensed Zumba® Fitness Instructor, Donna Nolan offers Zumba® Classes at the Holyrood Community Centre. This class is open to men and women of any fitness level. All you need are comfortable sneakers, exercise clothes and a bottle of water.

Class Schedule :

  • Sunday 8:30 pm
  • Tuesday 7:30 pm

Drop in fee – $8.00 or 10 pass card for $75.00

Kung Fu

Shaolin Kung Fu 

Join Instructor  Chris Evans (3rd degree black belt and 28 years experience in Kung Fu) at the Holyrood Community Centre.

12 & Under (5 is minimum age)

Classes run every Thursday 6:15 to 7:30 p.m. and every Sunday, 5:30 to 6:45 p.m.

Advanced and Adults

Classes run every Thursday 7:45 to 9:00 p.m. and every Sunday, 5:30 to 6:45 p.m.

New students are welcome anytime to try a free class.

All participants must bring a change of footwear during winter months and a spill-proof water bottle.

Main goals and learning objectives of Shaolin Kung Fu are:

Exercise (keep in shape with running, punch-ups, sit-ups, etc…), Confidence, Discipline, Teamwork, Fun(games), Self Defence, Kicking & Punching techniques, Fighting skills, Weapons, Kung Fu animal techniques, Kata(kicking, punching routines), Stretching, Bag work, and hitting shields

Taoist Tai Chi

Taoist Tai Chi™ arts. is a form of exercise  and personal development that both promotes health and relieves stress.  The focused concentration required to practice,  occupies the mind, drawing it away from daily worries and tensions. Each step in the training is intended to help the mind return to stillness, clarity and wisdom, and the body to a balanced, relaxed and healthy state. With regular practice you will see a wide range of health benefits to the muscular, skeletal and circulatory systems. Begin what may be a life changing experience.
