Precautionary Boil Order- Holyrood Access Rd – South Side
April 5, 2018
The Town of Holyrood wishies to advise residents of a boil water advisory for all residents from the Holyrood Access Road to the South Side. This boil water advisory is being issued as a precautionary measure due to low chlorine residuals detected during regular operational checks. The low readings were detected as of 4pm Thursday, April 5 and measures are being taken to restore residuals to normal levels.
All water used for drinking; preparing food, hot and cold beverages and ice cubes; washing fruits and vegetables; and dental hygiene should be boiled at a rolling boil for a minimum of one minute. Any ice cubes, beverages or uncooked foods that have been prepared using tap water drawn after the above noted date and time should be thrown out.
The Town is currently actively re-routing water with an acceptable level of chlorine residual within the water network in order to address this situation as quickly as possible. It is anticipated that residuals will return to normal within 24 hours, however residents are advised to continue observing the boil water advisory until it has been rescinded.
