Parking Closure: Route 60

May 25, 2020

As Government are working to restore traffic flow on the TCH, Holyrood is experiencing a tremendous amount of traffic coming through Salmonier Line (Route 90) and Conception Bay Highway (Route 60).

As this detour is ongoing, we’re also seeing an influx of traffic at the Beach Boardwalk as people enjoy our beautiful scenery while watching nature at play. Unfortunately, the increase in traffic is causing significant public safety concerns. Vehicles and pedestrians are navigating through high volumes of traffic to get in and out of the beach boardwalk parking lot.

As safety is Council’s top priority, the Town will be closing parking access to the Beach Boardwalk Parking Lot, Boland’s Pond, and along the roadside of Route 60. Residents and Visitors are asked to find alternate places to park while using this space such as the Holyrood Marina Parking Lot on Sir Albert Walsh Drive.

The Town apologizes for this inconvenience and appreciates your patience and understanding at this time.
