St. John’s Urban Region Regional Plan Amendment

The public is invited to view a copy of the proposed Town of Holyrood Municipal Plan Amendment No. 1, 2017 and Development Regulations Amendment No. 1, 2017.

The proposed Municipal Plan Amendment No. 1, 2017, will re-designate an area of land located on the North Side of Conception Bay Highway from Rural to Open Space/Conservation, Open Space/Conservation to Residential and Rural to Residential.

Development Regulations Amendment No. 1, 2017, will re-zone the same areas of land from Rural to Open Space/Conservation, Open Space/Conservation to Residential Medium Density and Rural to Residential Medium Density.

The Minister of Municipal Affairs and Environment has requested consultation on a proposed Amendment to the St. John’s Urban Region Regional Plan to re-designate land as described in Municipal Plan Amendment No. 1, 2017 and Development Regulations Amendment No. 1, 2017, from Rural to Urban Development.

The amendments are required to allow for a comprehensive residential subdivision in this area.

The amendments shall be on display at the Town Office during the week of August 16, to August 23, 2017, from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm during normal business hours and available on the Town’s website at: www.holyrood.ca.

The public may provide any comments or concerns on the proposed changes to the Town in writing before Council proceeds with adopting the proposed amendment.

The deadline for written comments shall be 4:00 pm August 23, 2017.
