Holyrood Celebrates Canada Day Week

Dates: Friday, June 25 – Wednesday, June 30
Prizes: A Backyard BBQ Prize Pack (includes a new BBQ and propane tank, and a $100 Sobey’s gift card)

Get ready for Canada Day by decorating your house, patio, windows, or anything on your property that says you are proud to be Canadian! Simply take a picture of your Canada Day decorations and send it to the Town of Holyrood through our Facebook inbox or by emailing steve.martin@holyrood.ca.

The Perfect Poutine Challenge
Dates: Friday, June 25 – Tuesday, June 29
Prize: $100 Gift Card and your Poutine featured at the Station Diner

Back by popular demand but with a Canadian twist- The Perfect Poutine. Create your own unique poutine, submit your recipe and a picture for a chance to win. Station Diner’s own Heather King will kick-off the competition Thursday, June 24 at 8:00pm as she sets the bar with her own poutine, discusses the competition and how you can have your creation featured at the Station Diner.

The Challenge
Before Tuesday, June 29 submit a picture and your Perfect Poutine name and recipe to Steve.Martin@holyrood.ca to be entered for a $100 Station Diner gift card and the opportunity to have YOUR POUTINE featured as a menu item at the Station Diner.

How Do You Win
On Tuesday, June 29 at 4:00pm, the Town of Holyrood will post your poutine picture and name to our Facebook Page. The person with the most likes at the end of a 24 hour period (cut-off is Wednesday, June 30 at 4:00pm) will be declared the winner.  We will announce the winners at our Virtual Canada Day Kick-Off at 10:00am on Thursday, July 1.

Take the time to stop by the Holyrood Heritage Museum this Canada Day Week to see the amazing displays including their room dedicated to Memorial Day and the Newfoundland Regiment.

The Great Canadian Scavenger Hunt
Dates: Friday, June 25 – Wednesday, June 30
Prize: Family Night Out! Includes a one-night stay at the Holiday Inn, a $100 gift card to East Side Mario’s and a $100 Rec Room gift card.

Over the course of Canada Week we encourage you to get out and see the Holyrood sites. Form your team and complete the scavenger hunt list to win a night out for the whole family! Be creative!

Holy Cross Park Opening Day

We’re excited to re-open Holy Cross Park for the summer on Canada Day. We will be operating within government guidelines this summer in keeping a capacity of 250 people. If we’re full upon your arrival, we’ll gladly add you to our call back list and a park attendant will let you know when space is available.
