Development Regulations Amendment No. 10, 2019

 The public is invited to view a copy of the proposed Town of Holyrood Development Regulations Amendment No. 10, 2019.

Development Regulations Amendment No. 10, 2019, will re-zone an area of land from Planned Development Area (PDA) to Residential Low Density-2 (RLD-2). The amendment is required to permit an international preparatory Grade 10, 11, 12 private school for pre-university studies, with an emphasis on experiential education and adventure-based learning.

The primary target area for student selection will be international students seeking a leading Canadian education as a conduit to top-tier North American universities.

The preparatory school team has over 80 years of combined experience in establishing, managing and sustaining private school operations. They have operated schools in Alberta, Ontario, Quebec and Nova Scotia.

Each year for one trimester, students and teachers will board the preparatory school classic tall ship and travel more than 9,000 kms to ports worldwide.

The amendment shall be on display at the Town Office during the week of April 17 to May 2, 2019, from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm during normal business hours and available on the Town’s website Here

The public may provide any comments or concerns on the proposed changes to the Town in writing before Council proceeds with adopting the proposed amendment.

The deadline for written comments shall be 4:00 pm May 2, 2019.
